DuVoice

Located in Kirkland Washington DuVoice has been developing software and hardware solutions for the telecommunications industry since 1990.  Products include a turnkey Windows based hospitality server which provides guest and staff messaging, wake up calls and a property management interface to most any PBX system. In the business market DuVoice has unified messaging system which delivers MP3 or wave voice mail messages and PDF fax messages to email. A small conference bridge is also available from DuVoice.


DuVoice partners with several technology companies to deliver turnkey solutions. These partners include: Avaya, Metropolis, ShoreTel, SDD,Hansen, NEC Sphere, Panasonic, Telematrix, Teledex, Vodavi, Dialogic, Microsoft, and ITOX. DuVoice products are distributed through a network of distributors and dealers throughout the Americas, Europe and Latin America.

  • Added support for changing names on Avaya IP Office on a unlimited number of connected switches.
  • Added support for central office caller id.
  • Added support for changing names and user groups on ShoreTel.
  • Added support for Micros Fidelio integration via TCP/IP.
  • Added support for custom disconnects on digital boards based on phone display.
  • Improved PDF support within VeMail messages.
  • Improved hospitality configuration allowing customers to customize maid and room status.
  • Added support for Visual Matrix PMS.
  • Added support for callers to exit to operator when leaving messages in distribution lists.
  • Added support ability for hospitalilty interface to set room phones to DND on room phones if supported by PMS protocol and switch.  Currently only supported on IP Office and Micros Fidelio.
Attention IP Office sites:
If you are using call bar to set the room restrictions, this feature is no longer supported.  Only the use of user group restrictions is supported.  This gives far greater control over the use of the phone and it's abilities than car bar can.

DuVoice is pleased to announce that the DV2000 using Digital Stations has just been approved on the Avaya Communications Manager.

These Application Notes describe the configuration steps required for the DuVoice 2000
hospitality messaging system to interoperate with Avaya Communication Manager.  In the compliance testing, the DuVoice DV2000 used the digital station interface from Avaya Communication Manager to provide automated attendant, voicemail, and wake-up call features.

Released to manufacturing:

  • GUIStart application used to start pms interface will wait longer for the system to start.  This value is configurable by placing a dword registry entry called GUIStartDelay in HKLM\SOFTWARE\DUVOICE\DV2000\STARTUP and enter the number of seconds to delay the initial start.  The default is 60 seconds.
