Ads & Deals
Using this method of message delivery a hotel can track deals or advertisements sent to guests.
This HowTo will demonstrate how to send a deal for the spa for a limited time. The message will be sent to all recipients and once the time expires the message will be automatically deleted from the guests mailbox.

- DV2000 8.0.18 or above for advanced reporting as shown below.

Choose a recording

Recipients
In this example we will be sending the message to all checked in rooms. This group has been automatically populated for us by the hospitality server.
Options
| Setting | Description |

| Date | Choose a date the message should be delivered. |
| Time | Choose the time the message should be delivered. |
| Help number | Optionally if a number is entered here the guest can press # and be transferred to the SPA. If entered the recording should instruct the guest to press # to schedule an appointment today. |
| Type | Choose Message only. For this example we don't want to call the user. |
| Repeat | Optionally choose to repeat this message. |
| Expiration (hours) | For this example we only want the deal to last for 2 hours. |
| Description | Enter a description for tracking this ad. |
| ID | This optional field can be anything. In this example we've entered an accounting number we can then provide to sales. |

Reporting
Choose History from the Message menu.
Choose dates
Choose a date range for the report.
List
Unchecking Compact will generate a report for the dates specified with a separate row for each recipient along with the details of the message. This report is best for exporting to CSV or other formats.
Compact Report
This report will generate a report showing all the messages during the time period chosen with options to show more detail or print it directly.
Detail Report
There are three columns to the detail report. At the bottom of the Activity and Recipients columns it will show a summary of activities performed.
Detail
This contains detail about the message we sent.
Activity
Here you can see all the activity performed on the message. For example you can see mailbox 3101 room 100-101 listened to the message and deleted it.
Recipients
Here you will see the full list of all recipients and the last action they performed on the message.
