MWI / DMG Routing

When using multiple Dialogic Media Gateways (DMG) it is required to direct calls to the appropriate DMG. These gateways come typically in two models a 4 port and 8 port. When the DV2000 is connected to more than a single DMG it's required to direct each line to a specific DMG in order for outbound calls to be handled directed to the correct DMG.

Entering an IP address for the line overrides the IP address entered for the PBX when the DV2000 performs an outbound call. It is important to properly configure each line in order to prevent missed or failed calls because the DMG is busy.

SettingDescription
LineLine number. Automatically set when the line was created. Read-only.
IP AddressEnter the alternate IP address to which all outbound calls and MWI notifications for this line should be directed.

Note: If you are using only one DMG, this is optional. If you are using multiple gateways, it is required.
DMG MWI PortWhen the DV2000 performs MWI notification, it will send it direct the DMG to use the selected port.

* If you select Any, the choice of port will be made by the DMG itself, based on its configuration.
* If you select Same, the system will select the DMG port that maps to the voice line on which the notification is occurring.
* If you select one of the numbers from 1 to 8, the DMG will be directed to use the specified port.
