Jazzware

The Jazzware to DuVoice interface provides a TCP/IP middleware protocol for PBX, voice mail, wakeup call, housekeeping and minibar features.

Depending on the PBX, pushing guest names into the PBX and passing maid codes may be done either by DuVoice (LINK-PBX) or Jazzware (Telemanagement).

  • DuVoice DV2000 V7 or V8

Jazzware will capture call accounting data for guest room and pass to PMS. In rare occasions Jazzware can be configured to pass call accounting data to DuVoice which passes the data to the PMS.

  • Each vendor typically has their own documentation for configuring their interface to work with DuVoice.
    • If not, our default configuration could be used as a reference.
  • Please keep in mind that for DuVoice, the best practice is to set up a translation on the PMS.
    • All rooms should be references as their extension numbers.
      • This is so the DuVoice server can map the guest information to the mailbox (which is tied to the room's extension number).

Housekeeping codes will be sent to Jazzware based on what codes are dialed from the room telephone.

The DuVoice system can play different languages based on the guest profile. For domestic US applications US English is all that is needed. Note: International languages must be installed on the DV2000 for this to work.

Jazzware offers a Windows version of their software which can be loaded on the same server as the DuVoice DV2000 software.

In DuVoice Hospitality Configuration still use Link Type as TCP Client with the server address being the local IP 127.0.0.1 and use port 57053 (which can be changed to match the Jazzware configuration)

The mailboxes in the DV2000 must match what Jazzware is sending. We recommend using and extension based protocol so room/extension translation tables can be avoided. (If Auto-Create is enabled on the DuVoice configuration, when a data sync is initiated from Jazzware, any mailboxes not found on the DV2000 will be automatically created.)

Note that this is considered a 'template' for installation, as each site has its own specific details that will need to be configured as well.

DuVoice services must be shutdown before updating the DuVoice configuration.

  1. Open 'Manager' or 'System Configuration' application.
  2. Click 'features' drop down menu.
  3. Click on 'hospitality'.
  4. Click on the server you wish to edit, or click add if there are no servers.
