Tenants
A tenant is a collection of configuration settings shared by all mailboxes associated with the tenant. These settings include:
- The auto attendant
- The operator extension and/or mailbox
- How names are formatted when sent to the PBX over a PBX Link
- Custom VeMail settings.
Tenant Selection
Selecting the Tenant option will display the Tenant Selection dialog, below, which may be used to add new tenants as well as to copy, delete or edit existing tenants. For convenience, the selection table lists not only the tenant name but also its assigned auto attendant mailbox, operator extension and mailbox, and the current number of mailboxes assigned to it.
By default, there should be at least one tenant in the list, which was created for you by the Setup wizard and given the same name as the Site Name. The dialog provides the following options:

| Edit | Opens the selected tenant for editing. If no tenant is selected, this option is disabled. |
| Add | Opens the tenant editor with a blank name and default settings. You must enter a unique tenant name before saving. |
| Copy | Opens the tenant editor with all settings except the name copied from the selected tenant. You must enter a unique tenant name before saving. If no tenant is selected, this option is disabled. |
| Delete | Asks for confirmation that you wish to delete the selected tenant. If you click OK, the tenant is permanently deleted. To back out with deleting, click Cancel. If no tenant is selected, this option is disabled. |
Deleting all tenants is technically possible but not advisable. If you do, it will be necessary to create a new tenant and then use Mailbox Administration to assign that tenant to all mailboxes.
Tenant Configuration
Whether you are adding a template or editing or copying from an existing template, you will use the Template Configuration dialog to configure its settings.
