Virtualization

DuVoice SIP based systems may only be installed in a virtual environment running VMWare ESX 5 and 6. VMWware version 4.1 does not support the high precision event timer needed for HMP. This is a limitation of the Dialogic SIP drivers and not that of the DuVoice software itself.

It is also not possible to run DuVoice software in a virtual environment with physical telephony boards.

Windows 7 and Server 2008 under VMWare ESX and ESXi is supported using HMP 3.0 SU314 or greater.

Microsoft hyper-v is not currently supported.

If your VMWare 4.1 system is upgraded to a newer version you must either create a ne w virtualmachine or modify the .VMX file to enable the timer by adding hpet0.present = “TRUE”.
