Name Changes
Most DV2000 PBXLinks have the ability to change the name on the PBX. The DV2000 uses three different sources for name changes, these are the Mailbox Number, Extension, and all MWI Addresses.
Multiple Extension Rooms
Many hotels may have multiple extensions in a single room and the DV2000 can set/clear the MWI for each of those extensions as well as change the name if the PBXLink supports the function.
MWI
Typically you will enter the extension number for each phone associated with a room under the MWI address list. The DV2000 supports up to 30 addresses. These addresses can be either an extension number or SIP address.
The DV2000 MWI template by default uses the address ALL which tells it to use every address as a possible MWI. This allows a single notification template each for on/off without creating numerous different templates for each address.
Name Change
If the PBXLink supports name changes, the DV2000 will use the Mailbox Number, Extension, and all MWI Addresses for changing the name.
The PBXLink simply searches for any matching number on the PBX and when it finds a match it will set the name. For some PBXLinks like the Cisco these numbers are located in multiple places. Each one is changed to the specified name regardless of where it might be located.
IP Office
IP Office installations typically create a group for rooms which have multiple extensions in them. The DV2000 will change the name of any group which matches one of the numbers used for name changes. The name will be prefixed with a G in order to distinguish the difference between an extension and the group. An example of this might be a room with the extensions 7101 and 7102 with a hunt group of 77101. Each of these numbers would be entered as an MWI address in order for the DV2000 to change the name of all three.
