Update DuVoice WebUI

  • Updating WebUI does not require shutting down DuVoice services.
    • Thus the only impact this process has, is roughly a 5-minute window of no InnDesk access.

In normal operation, updating any of DuVoice services is not recommended.

So, there are a few exceptions as to why you would want to do this, not limited to:

  1. It was recommended by a DuVoice support technician.
  2. The patch has a bug fix for an issue you're experiencing.
  3. There is a service or connection issue being diagnosed.

If a DuVoice technician has sent you the link to the WebUI patch. It is most likely they checked this compatibility ahead of time. However, it never hurts to double-check.

Normally, there should be a shortcut for Activity Monitor on the desktop.

However, here are some instructions in case there isn't:

  1. Navigate to the start menu.
    1. Then if you're on Windows 11, click 'all'.
  2. Open the “DV2000” folder.
  3. Then click the “Activity Monitor” application.
  4. Check the bottom of the window
    1. One of the boxes should display the version (make note of this).
  1. Go to the download page, located here.
  2. Check the latest version.
    1. Typical the latest version is shown as a blue download button.
  3. See if your DuVoice version, noted from earlier, exceeds the requirement shown next to the download button.
    1. If it does, please click on the download button.
  1. Find your downloaded file's location.
  2. Right click on it.
  3. Run as administrator.
  1. Welcome page.
    1. Click 'next'.
  2. License agreement.
    1. Click 'I agree'.
  3. Installing.
    1. After the process finished it should close automatically.

At this point your WebUI should be updated.
